2nd last sunday.
church and fellowship after that was great today. the long walk from church to city hall gave me the time to just talk and catch up with ppl (esp wampy), so no complaints there. it’s been like, 6 years since we last met, so i wasnt surprised with the many raised eyebrows when ppl asked abt the relationship between the two of us.
the tea session thingo with the campcomm went pretty smoothly, although i still have no idea why they went all the way to raffles city to withdraw money when they didnt need to pay for the meal… and salina and i almost forgot to call shawn to tell him that we already started eating, so a big thank you to sarah for reminding the two clueless ex-commandants about him xD
seeing sarah and salina today was so so wonderful. although sam couldnt make it cos of school commitments and stuff, just being able to catch up with my "mom" and my "godsister’s brother’s mom’s dearyhearts sister" was already enough for me. so many secretstuffs were shared, and little inside jokes that cracked all of us up, and speaking in weird terms that onli we could understand… these little things really mean a lot now that we dun see each other on a regular basis anymore.
but anyway, debrief was smooth and quick and just the way i liked it. appointing penny and shawn as the new commandants for youth camp 09 was probably the most impt thing that happened all day heh. it was pretty depressing trying to find the right guys for the camp comm (STEP UP BROS), but i have this feeling that these 2 years are merely a period of transition, and things will steady themselves for an extended period once 2009 is over.
