even yummier!
2 nights. 2 fantastic dinners. man i hope this trend continues hahaha!
tonight’s dinner at the old airport road hawker centre was absolutely scrumptious. we had (in order of appearance) satay, oyster omelette, fried kway teow, chilli crab, rojak, chee cheong fan, sugarcane with lemon… it was too bad my aunt and uncle couldnt join us for dinner, since she just got hospitalized the night before for some growth thingy. such a pity, esp since this was supposed to be my grandma’s bdae celebration.
but anyway, we still went to mount e to visit her after dinner. it wouldnt have been so bad, except that she was telling us how the nurses couldnt find a way to put her on the drip because she has "princess veins", which meant her veins were too small and fragile for the drip. she was jabbed like 3 times before we saw her, and all 3 attempts were unsuccessful, which meant unnecessary pain >< i was on the drip for a week in pri 3, so i knew exactly how she felt. why do you think the both of us have an extreme fear of needles?
but the doctor finally came tonight, and the thing was successful with her 4th attempt. thank goodness for that, i wouldnt wanna see or hear my aunt screaming in pain/fear.
tea with the camp comm, and that includes sal and sarah (why sam whyyyy…) so it’s gonna be an interesting day tmr!
