back from egypt

and i’m already pissed off. zzz you’re right salina, i am particular abt those kinda stuff. esp when i’m the one doing most of the work in getting the ideas out and listening to feedback and trying to make everything perfect and acceptable by everyone, so i am really really disappointed at the ways things turned out. and unless i fork out like 600 bucks on my own, i dun think we can actually do anything abt the mistake, so i guess i really have no choice but to live with it now.

egypt was alright i guess. the culture and the history was pretty interesting, but the nature of the people and the way they behave really irks me. i guess this is the result of years of enslavement and occupation and being too proud of the advantageous position they enjoyed like thousands of years ago, and now the country is riddled with money-minded and dishonest people which really hurt the image the egyptian tourism industry is promoting. granted, some are actually very nice and amusing, but most of the people at the "tourist attractions" we visited were really the polar opposite. i swear i could have punched some of them in their faces right there and then if my parents werent around, with the way they were annoying sheryl and tugging my sleeves.

ah well, this is a really angsty and angry post after a 2 week absence, so i think i should just stop and get some rest. hopefully things do get better after i wake up, as kaijun always tries to tell me. i think i sleep way too little to actually believe that though. but if things get any more lousy than they already are, sean’s gonna be a really angry man again. rawr.

on a lighter note, my tour group was pretty interesting. everyone was punctual, had really different backgrounds, and many of us were connected to each other in some other really obscure way in life. for myself, i met 2 other geps, talked to a girl i havent spoken to or seen in 7 years, and her family were neighbours of mine, who knows a tuition friend i havent seen in 6 years, who went to njc, and there’s another girl from njc on the trip as well, wearing an acjc sweater that her friend gave her, who’s also from the same family as the geps and a church mate from my sister’s ballet friend’s church, who happens to be coming for our youth camp this year.

there’s probably more but i’m too tired to rmbr all the details, but that’s just a taste of things. time to get some shuteye then, later.
