now i rmbr why i like playing drums!
wow. a blink of an eye, and it’s been 3 months since i’ve played for worship. that’s a pretty damn long period of time, especially when i havent touched my sticks or the drums for that entire duration.
however, the moment i sat back down onto that chair, i felt right at home with the drums. it felt like it was just yesterday that i was playing for the main worship for one last time, giving it my all knowing that it would be my last for a while, giving God my all because He’s given me so much.
i really enjoyed being able to play with the youth band today. it just reminded me of why i came to this church in the first place 3 years ago, when i was asked to come down to contribute to the worship ministry. of my days as a keyboardist, when jesu was still ard to drum, and just learning the dynamics behind cck’s worship. now i’m a drummer, and my skills as an organist have probably been forgotten abt, but it matters not since i get to play for God anyway.
it makes me really happy to see the youth band grow and mature, with the musicians getting better and gelling more with each other. and if i’m considered to be one of the veterens in worship among the youth, then you know you guys have got a lot of work to do! it’s about time for some new blood to step up and take up bigger responsibilities in the youth ministry, and to serve God in any way possible for you (:
i should get down to working soon, seeing that it’s onli 2 days before my prelims and i dun have much time left. that and my camp publicity committee members have both left me one after another. looks like i have to take things into my own hands again… sigh. help me out here please? thank You!
